In 2005, the brand Margit Brandt was re-launched. Encouraged by repeated requests from previous customers and representatives from the fashion elite, Margit and Erik Brandt decided to enter the global market again; now in business cooperation with Metropol.

The Margit Brandt brand has been reinvented and modernized in order to face the demand of the new generation of fashion consumers. Without losing sight of the trendsetting details of the 1960's to the 1980's, Margit Brandt and the design team has created a brand that reflects the future of fashion.

The designs are innovative yet timeless with a feminine elegance. With respect for the contemporary, the new design team has the ability to add that special detail and characteristic touch that reflects the brands primetimes, while at the same time stays true to the innovative spirit.

Margit Brandt Design's re-entry into the fashion scene received immediate attention and recognition in the home market, Denmark. In September 2006, Margit Brandt was awarded the prestigious Danish Design Award: Guldknappen (The Golden Button) for the new women's collection. An award generally considered the most prestigious in Denmark. In spring 2007, Margit Brandt was further acknowledged for her lifelong commitment to Danish Fashion when she was knighted by the Queen of Denmark and received the Knight of the Royal Order of Dannebrog.

Today, Margit Brandt Design is again a global brand with a strong and increasing presence in the women's fashion market. It is an international brand in demand and is experiencing a continuous strong growth. Margit Brandt Design is currently sold throughout Scandinavia and Europe, and the expansion continues with sales in the traditionally strong Margit Brandt markets, such as Japan and USA.
